What is the role of a Carpenter?
Carpenters are needed for a variety of works at different levels, mainly residential, commercial and construction works. This job role requires no special education and a high school diploma will often suffice. However, during selection; prefer the certified candidates who have past experience and have completed some sort of apprenticeships.
For this job, the qualifications of the candidates entirely depend upon the requirements of your company. For instance, if you are a renovation company then you should look for character aspects more than the technical expertise because such Carpenters will often have to visit residential/commercial properties so they must be reliable, willing to learn and able to follow instructions. On the other hand, if you are a construction company then you should prefer candidates having good technical expertise as they will have to execute high-level carpentry work.
In addition to having skills and technical knowledge, the candidates must give attention to all safety regulations. The best Carpenters work safely, according to the regulations, and give a lot of attention to details. While interviewing, make sure to ask them about the equipment and tools needed for Carpentry. To assess the candidates for the above-mentioned qualities, we have put together the following Carpenter interview questions.
