HR Directors are senior professionals and play an important role in forming strategic goals. They prepare policies and establish operations.
Generally, HR Directors are backed by years of experience as business partners, executives or managers. If your company works in a unionized environment, looking for a candidate with relevant work experience may be a good idea. During the interview, ask candidates how they developed effective HR strategies and programs. They should also be familiar with corporate ethics and employment laws.
