Compensation Analyst Interview Questions

Compensation Analysts are responsible for developing salary structure depending on industry standards, benchmarking data and internal budgets and goals. Candidates for this role generally have a degree in Human Resource Management and experience in payroll. During the interview, test how much a candidate knows about benefits and compensation packages and labor legislation. You can also ask questions related to market analysis, as your prospect Compensation Analysts will be responsible for researching, analyzing and presenting salary benchmarks and statistics. Look for candidates who can maintain confidentiality in the workplace. They should be familiar with managing salary spreadsheets and easily spot numerical errors. You can also give Excel tests.
