Interaction Designer Job Description

We are hiring an Interaction Designer who knows the impact of interaction, usability, and patterns across all product usage stages.

Candidates must know the human element of the ‘design discipline’, especially for digital products.

Certifications from Google UX, CareerFoundry, Interaction Design Foundation, and NN/g will get you brownie points.

What are we looking for?

  • Advanced degrees in computer science, software engineering, or information technology (nice to have)
  • Expertise in evidence and context-based design
  • Strong experience in prototype creation and prototyping in code
  • Familiarity with an agile working methodology
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

What a day in the life of an Interaction Designer will look like?

  • Follow the full design process, from conducting market research to conceptualizing and designing a product as per the user’s needs
  • Analyze consumer behavior to gain user insights and identify opportunities to optimize product usability
  • Identify defects or points of improvement during the product testing phase
  • Collaborate with the product development team to confirm that the product meets both management and consumer expectations
  • Provide feedback to the design team about the product’s usability, value, and benefit
  • Engage with customers to know how the product is being received
  • Keep abreast with the market and industry trends to implement the latest technologies in the design process
