Financial Controller Job Description

We are hiring a qualified Financial Controller for undertaking every aspect of our financial management, which includes budget and forecasts preparation, regulatory and financial reporting, corporate accounting and the development of internal control procedures and policies. In addition to that, you will also be responsible for undertaking financial risk management processes.

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA or CFA)
  • Prior experience as a Financial Controller or a similar senior role
  • Expert level knowledge of all principles and techniques of accounting
  • Excellent command in making financial statements
  • Experience of working with accounting software
  • Experience with month-end or year-end close process as well as general ledger functions
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for details
  • An analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude


  • Managing accounting and financial operations including A/R, A/P, GL and counsel, billing, revenue recognition, inventory accounting and cost accounting
  • Directing and regulating the processes of financial forecasts and budget formation as well as regularly reporting variances
  • Preparing and publishing financial statements on a monthly basis
  • Maintaining and strengthening internal control by documenting and developing business processes
  • Managing tax filings and reporting requirements while also ensuring their compliance with federal, state and local government
  • Controlling financial reporting and financial transactions while also ensuring quality and accuracy
