Responsibilities of Telemarketer

Job brief

The role of the Telemarketer is to generate sales either by answering customer requests for sales or by cold calling. You will be responsible for persuading potential customers to buy our products or services. You are expected to be friendly, patient and cool-tempered. The main aim of a Telemarketer is to deal with complaints, understand requirements and attain customer satisfaction.

  • Ask relevant questions to the customer to understand their requirements
  • Record the personal information of customers accurately in the database
  • Convince the customer to buy by presenting how goods or services meet their needs
  • Handle complaints or queries to preserve the attain customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the records of calls, sales, and other relevant information
  • Go the extra mile to meet sales targets and facilitate future sales

Requirements

  • Prior proven experience as a Telemarketer or similar customer service or sales roles
  • Understanding of relevant software (such as CRM software) and databases
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets through cold calling
  • Ability to handle customer rejection
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Expert in negotiating and dealing with complaints
  • Proficiency in English
  • Determined and results-oriented
