We are seeking a skilled Software Security Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in fortifying our applications against potential threats. If you have a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments of applications and systems, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Design and implement security controls and measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
  • Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, responding promptly to security alerts and taking appropriate action to contain and mitigate potential impacts.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the cybersecurity landscape, proactively researching and implementing new security technologies and techniques to enhance our security posture.
  • Provide security guidance and expertise to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of security awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in software security engineering or a related role, with a strong understanding of secure coding practices, cryptography, and web application security.
  • Hands-on experience with security assessment tools and techniques, such as vulnerability scanners, penetration testing, and code review tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to software security, such as OWASP Top 10, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
