In order to excel in this role, you must have strategic thinking and effective leadership qualities. Moreover, you must have a sound knowledge of all financial, business, and accounting principles.

Job Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA or CFA)
  • Prior experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or a related role
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, corporate finance, laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Experience working with statistical and financial software (e.g. SAP)
  • Experience working with MS Office and database management software
  • Sound knowledge of financial forecasting and analysis
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • An analytical mind with the ability to think strategically and resolve problems

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzing the risks and performance of the company’s financial planning and also ensuring the company’s financial health
  • Monitoring the financial position of the company and taking suitable measures for preventing problems
  • Setting up and overseeing the finance IT system of the company
  • Ensuring adherence to the company’s financial guidelines and state laws
  • Conducting analysis for making forecasts and reporting to upper management
  • Preparing detailed and timely reports on the company’s financial performance on an annual and quarterly basis
  • Developing strategy for fundraising and managing relationships with investors and partners
  • Overseeing all internal control and audit operations
  • Setting targets for finance personnel (e.g. Internal Auditors, Management Accountants, etc.) and also supervising them
