Interior Designer Job Description

We are hiring a creative Interior Designer for undertaking various space-related design projects. You will be responsible for designing practical but visually pleasing spaces. You will contribute to a design project throughout its lifecycle, that is from conceptual developing and liaising with stakeholders to executing and supporting the design.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts or a related field
  • Prior experience in designing and decorating interior spaces (e.g. space planning, consultations, renovations and new constructions)
  • Experience in selecting a suitable layout, color, materials, lighting, furniture and other installations
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, AutoCAD, 3D Max, SketchUp and other design software
  • A strong portfolio of professional design projects
  • Project management and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional time management skills along with the ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for details
  • A creative mind with a problem-solving attitude

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking design projects from concept to completion
  • Defining project schedule and requirements during the “project brief”
  • Interpreting and translating customer requirements into rough but achievable plans
  • Working in collaboration with architects, constructors, designers and decorators
  • Producing “mood products” and “sample”
  • Deciding the sources of products and materials by proper researching
  • Setting project fees and costs according to the budget incurred on it
  • Staying aware of latest industry trends and advancements
