Payroll Manager Interview Questions

Payroll Managers are responsible for making payments to employees- correctly and on time. They also manage bonuses, tax deductions, and insurance coverage. Their education generally includes an Accounting or HR degree. Look for candidates who have experience of handling payrolls for a workforce similar to your company. Candidates with relevant industry experience are a good choice as they are aware of specific regulations and requirements. Knowledge of your payroll software is a plus but emphasize on knowing how they maintain employee records and ensure accuracy. Payroll Managers maintain confidentiality at work and remain calm under stressful conditions. Look for detail oriented candidates and who like to keep updated with labor law changes. If your prospective Payroll Manager will be managing a team, test candidates’ leadership skills as well.
