What does a Management Accountant do?

Job Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CMA or CGMA)
  • Prior experience as a Management Accountant
  • Experience with cost accounting as well as reporting procedures
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and risk analysis procedures
  • Sound knowledge of basic as well as advanced financial and accounting principles/practices
  • Sound knowledge of accounting software as well as MS Office
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent presentation and mathematical skills
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for details
  • An analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
